Vol. 5 No. ICETDA24 (2024): International Conference on Emerging Trends in Design and Arts

Dear Readers and Contributors,
The Faculty of Design and Arts (FDA), Poornima University, Jaipur, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Craft and Design, Jaipur; Adelaide Central School of Art, Australia; and Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan, successfully organized the 2nd edition of the International Conference on Emerging Trends in Design and Arts (ICETDA24) on April 5th and 6th, 2024. The conference witnessed participation from over 32 institutions and colleges.
Eminent keynote speakers, including Dr. Rima Hooja (Director, Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Museum, City Palace, Jaipur & Director, Jaigarh Fort), Mr. Pramod Sharma (Eminent Author and Poet, Jaipur), Dr. Daniel Connell (Visual Artist, Adelaide Central School of Art, Australia), Prof. Bhagav Mistry (Design Practitioner and Pedagogist), Dr. Shalu Rustagi (Professor, IICD, Jaipur), Dr. Rena Mehta (Associate Professor, IICD, Jaipur), Dr. Ashima Arora (Associate Professor, IICD, Jaipur), Dr. Mahesh Singh (Professor, BHU, Varanasi), Dr. Arjun Kumar Singh (Associate Professor, Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal), Dr. Kingshuk Mukherjee (Associate Professor, IICD, Jaipur), Dr. Isha Bhatt (Assistant Professor, Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan), and Mr. Jay Patel (Assistant Professor, Banasthali Vidyapith), graced the occasion and chaired various sessions.
The 2nd ICETDA24 was a resounding success, offering an invaluable platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas across interdisciplinary areas of design and arts. The conference received over 120 abstract submissions, with 90 papers and 34 posters scheduled for presentation, covering a wide range of topics including Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Animation, Gaming, AR and VR, Fashion Design, Textile Design, Interior Design, and Product Design. Out of 90 papers submitted, 62 were selected for publication in the UGC Care-Listed journal "ShodhKosh: Journal of Visual and Performing Arts" as part of a special issue titled " International Conference on Emerging Trends in Design and Arts."
I extend my deepest appreciation to Granthaalayah Publications for their exemplary partnership with our institution, which has provided researchers with proper recognition. With significant research contributions that will advance the fields of art and design, the Faculty of Design and Arts is eager to further strengthen this collaboration in the future.
