India's hospitality sector, impacted by the pandemic, finds itself in a "new normal." This presents an opportunity to embrace green practices and redefine sustainable tourism. This paper explores how green hospitality can pave the way for a more responsible and resilient industry. It analyses the heightened environmental consciousness of traveller’s post-pandemic and its influence on the hotel selection. The paper examines key green practices – from energy-efficient buildings to local sourcing and waste management – that contribute to environmental and economic well-being. It explores the potential of green hospitality to not only attract environmentally conscious travellers but also enhance guest well-being and operational efficiency. Finally, the article addresses Indian hotels' green initiative issues and offers solutions. The Indian hospitality business may thrive in the new normal by being green, assuring tourism and the environment's sustainability.
