STUDY OF PROBLEMS AND CHALLENGES FACED BY ANGANWADI WORKERS

Abstract [English]

This research paper analyzes the challenges and problems faced by Anganwadi workers working under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme of India. Anganwadi workers play an important role in providing nutrition, health and early education to children aged 0-6 years and pregnant women. However, they face many obstacles in performing their work. Due to which there is a possibility of reduction in the accuracy of their work. The major challenges faced by Anganwadi workers include low salary, irregular payment, excessive workload, inadequate infrastructure (such as building, toilet, water), lack of adequate training, lack of community support and health-safety risks. These major problems affect the efficiency of Anganwadi workers, which in turn affects the quality of services provided to beneficiaries. This study shows the impact of such problems, such as dissatisfaction with work, strikes and increasing levels of malnutrition among children. The solutions presented include salary increase, appointment of support staff, development of infrastructure, regular training, community awareness and health facilities. The conclusion suggests measures that can improve the condition of Anganwadi workers, which greatly increases the chances of effective fulfillment of the objectives of the ICDS scheme. This research paper can serve as a guide for policy makers.

यह शोध पत्र भारत की एकीकृत बाल विकास सेवा (ICDS) योजना के अंतर्गत कार्यरत आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ताओं के समक्ष आने वाली चुनौतियों और समस्याओं का विश्लेषण करता है। आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ताएँ बच्चों, जिनकी उम्र 0-6 वर्ष के मध्य है, गर्भवती महिलाओं को पोषण, स्वास्थ्य और प्रारंभिक शिक्षा प्रदान करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती हैं। हालांकि उन्हें अपने कार्य को सम्पादित करने में बहुत सी बाधाओं का सामना करना पड़ता है। जिससे उनके कार्यों की शुद्धता में कमी आने की पूर्ण संभावना होती है, आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ताओं को जो प्रमुख चुनौतियों का सामना करना पड़ता है उसमे कम वेतन, अनियमित भुगतान, अत्यधिक कार्यभार, अपर्याप्त बुनियादी ढांचा (जैसे भवन,शौचालय,पानी), पर्याप्त प्रशिक्षण न मिलना, सामुदायिक सहयोग की कमी और स्वास्थ्य-सुरक्षा जोखिम शामिल हैं। इन प्रमुख समस्याओं के कारण आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ताओं की कार्यक्षमता प्रभावित होती है, जिसका प्रभाव लाभार्थियों को मिलने वाली सेवाओं की गुणवत्ता पर पड़ता है। यह अध्ययन इस प्रकार की समस्याओं के प्रभावों को दिखाता है, जैसे कार्य के प्रति असंतोष, हड़ताल और बच्चों में कुपोषण का बढ़ता स्तर। समाधान के रूप में वेतन वृद्धि, सहायक कर्मचारियों की नियुक्ति, बुनियादी ढांचे का विकास, नियमित प्रशिक्षण, सामुदायिक जागरूकता और स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएँ आदि प्रस्तुत की गई हैं। निष्कर्ष में यह बताया गया है कि किन उपायों से आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ताओं की स्थिति सुधर सकती है| जिससे ICDS योजना के उद्देश्य प्रभावी रूप से पूरे होने की संभावना बहुत अधिक बढ़ जाती है। यह शोध पत्र नीति निर्माताओं के लिए एक मार्गदर्शक के रूप में कार्य कर सकता है।
