Dhangar community lives in huts on the plain land of the mountainous regions. They reside in the Amthane villages of Goa's Kankon, Sange, Sattari and Pedne districts. The language of the Dhangar community settled in Goa is a mixture of Padhe, Kokanastha and Kaphade Brahmin dialects. Dhangar is an independent and culturally distinct community. The Dhangar community has a rich tradition of traditional folk songs, which reflect their culture and lifestyle. In this research article, the culture and lifestyle of the Dhangar community can be seen through folk songs.

धनगर जमात पर्वतीय क्षेत्रों की समतल भूमि पर झोपड़ियों में रहती है। गोवा के काणकोण, सांगे, सत्तरी और पेडणे जिलों के आमठणे गाँवों में इनका निवास है। गोवा में बसनेवाले धनगर जमातियों की भाषा में पधे, कोकणास्थ और कप्हाडे ब्राह्मण की बोली का मिश्रण मिलता है। धनगर एक स्वतंत्र और सांस्कृतिक रूप से विशिष्ट जमात है। धनगर समुदाय में पारंपरिक लोकगीतों की समृद्ध परंपरा है, जो उनकी संस्कृति और जीवनशैली को दर्शाते हैं। इस शोध आलेख में धनगर जमाति की संस्कृति और जीवनशैली को लोकगीतों के माध्यम से देख सकते हैं।
