HUMAN BEHAVIOUR CONTRIBUTING TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AGAINST MEN IN THE PRESENT CONTEXT: A PHENOMENOLOGICAL STUDY

When a person makes any effort to maintain control over a person close to him. These efforts can be abusive words, threats, physical impact or mental impact. Domestic violence is experienced by those people who are controlled by their close ones, that too without their consent or it can be said that ‘domestic violence’ occurs between people who are in or living in a close relationship. This type of violence can take many forms. It can happen to anyone. Most of the victims of domestic violence are women. This is the general perception of people in society. But sometimes it is not easy to identify domestic violence against men.

जब कोई व्यक्ति अपने करीबी व्यक्ति पर नियंत्रण बनाये रखने के लिए कोई भी प्रयास करता है। ये प्रयास अपमानजनक शब्द, धमकियां, शारीरिक प्रभाव या मानसिक रूप से प्रभावित करने वाले हो सकते हैं। घरेलू हिंसा का शिकार वही लोग होते हैं जो अपने करीबियों द्वारा नियंत्रित किए जाते हैं, वो भी उनकी इच्छा के बिना या ऐसा कहा जा सकता है कि ‘घरेलू हिंसा’ उन लोगों के बीच होती है, जो करीबी रिश्ते में हैं या रह रहे हैं। इस प्रकार की हिंसा कई रूप ले सकती है। यह किसी के साथ भी हो सकती है। घरेलू हिंसा का अधिकतर शिकार महिलायें होती हैं। समाज में अमूमन लोगों की धारणा यही होती है। परन्तु कभी-कभी पुरुषों के प्रति घरेलू हिंसा को पहचानना आसान नहीं होता।
