Abstract [English]

On the volcano is a renowned work of progressive literature. A work that captures the exploitation of labor, the background of the protest - its birth, its quantitative growth, the dynamic form of the conflict as much as possible. The way in which the Congressman Chandranna, who was a Gandhian, transformed into a communist is also the development of the conflict.
Class conflict is not an individual action and protest but has to emerge in its own law. Its background, foreground, and dynamics are all written in the structure here.
Even after independence, the majority of Hindustan did not get economic 'freedom'. Their legacy of hardship is not gone. He (Chandranna) believed that the goal of the Congress was to establish a state of farmers and laborers. He had decided that he would work with the workers to achieve that goal. But when he saw the group of selfish people who had recently joined the Congress organization, he was not without suspicion. Profit-seeking traders, black marketeers, miserly people who preyed on the poor for money, and unworthy people who were greedy for power, were infiltrating the Congress organization in droves. The Congress, which was supposed to be a refuge for the poor, was becoming a haven for thieves and robbers' (page 53).

ಜ್ವಾಲಾಮುಖಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಗತಿಶೀಲ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಒಂದು ಹೆಸರಾಂತ ಕೃತಿ. ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಶೋಷಣೆ, ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ - ಹುಟ್ಟು, ಅದರ ಪರಿಮಾಣಾತ್ಮಕ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ, ಸಂಘರ್ಷದ ಕ್ರಿಯಾರೂಪವನ್ನು ಸಾಧ್ಯಂತರವಾಗಿ ಸೆರೆ ಹಿಡಿದ ಕೃತಿ. ಗಾಂಧಿವಾದಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸಿಗ ಚಂದ್ರಣ್ಣ ಸಾಮ್ಯವಾದಿಯಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಯಾಗುವ ಬಗೆ ಸಂಘರ್ಷದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಸಹ ಆಗಿದೆ.
ವರ್ಗ ಸಂಘರ್ಷವೆನ್ನುವುದು ಒಂದು ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯಾಗಿರದೆ ಅದರದೇ ಆದ ನಿಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಿಬರಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದರ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ, ಮುನ್ನೆಲೆ, ಚಲನಶೀಲತೆ ಇವೆಲ್ಲ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ರಚನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಡಿಮೂಡಿದೆ.
ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಬಂದರೂ ಹಿಂದೂಸ್ಥಾನದ ಬಹುಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರಿಗೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ' ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಲಭಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ಕಷ್ಟಪರಂಪರೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ರೈತ-ಕೂಲಿಕಾರರ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವುದೇ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ಸಿನ ಗುರಿಯೆಂದು ಆತ (ಚಂದ್ರಣ್ಣ) ನಂಬಿದ್ದ. ಆ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಾನು ಸಹಕರಿಸಿ ದುಡಿಯುವುದಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದ. ಆದರೆ ಈಚೆಗೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡ ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದಾಗ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಶಂಕೆ ಉಂಟಾಗದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಲಾಭಕೋರರಾದ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಗಳು, ಕಾಳಸಂತೆಯ ಖದೀಮರು, ಕಾಸಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಡವರನ್ನು ಸುಲಿಯುವ ಕೃಪಣರು, ಅಧಿಕಾರದಾಶೆಗಾಗಿ ಪರಿತಪಿಸುವ ಅಯೋಗ್ಯರು, ಹಿಂಡು ಹಿಂಡಾಗಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನುಸುಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಬಡವರ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಸ್ಥಾನವಾಗಬೇಕಿದ್ದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಳ್ಳಕಾಕರ, ದರೋಡೆಗಾರರ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನವಾಗತೊಡಗಿತ್ತು' (ಪುಟ ೫೩).
