Abstract [English]

This paper explores the utilization of information and resources within the libraries of the National Power Training Institute (NPTI) and evaluates their impact on the development of print and digital collections. It also assesses user awareness and usage behaviour. As a premier national organization under the Ministry of Power, NPTI has emerged as a key player in power sector education and training, with its academic initiatives aligning closely with the National Education Policy 2022. The study highlights the current status, challenges, and opportunities related to library and resource management at NPTI, emphasizing the role of information services in supporting power engineering education. Key recommendations include enhanced government funding for ICT infrastructure, consortium-based resource sharing, digitization of rare materials, policy support for standardization, and initiatives to improve user awareness and digital literacy. The paper advocates for a transformative approach in which libraries at training institutions like NPTI evolve into proactive, digital-first knowledge hubs that support national development goals and adopt global best practices.
