This paper provides an exploratory analysis of the Mid-Day Meal Scheme (MDMS) in primary schools of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh using secondary data. It examines the scheme’s objectives, recent developments, public-private partnerships, and its impact on children’s nutritional well-being and educational outcomes. By focusing on the unique challenges and successes within Lucknow, this paper aims to contribute to a better understanding of how MDMS operates at the local level and suggest pathways to enhance its effectiveness.

यह शोधपत्र माध्यमिक डेटा का उपयोग करते हुए लखनऊ, उत्तर प्रदेश के प्राथमिक विद्यालयों में मध्याह्न भोजन योजना (एम.डी.एम.एस) का अन्वेषणात्मक विश्लेषण प्रदान करता है। यह योजना के उद्देश्यों, हाल के विकास, सार्वजनिक-निजी भागीदारी और बच्चों के पोषण संबंधी कल्याण और शैक्षिक परिणामों पर इसके प्रभाव की जांच करता है। लखनऊ के भीतर अद्वितीय चुनौतियों और सफलताओं पर ध्यान केंद्रित करके, इस शोधपत्र का उद्देश्य स्थानीय स्तर पर एम.डी.एम.एस के संचालन के तरीके को बेहतर ढंग से समझने में योगदान देना और इसकी प्रभावशीलता को बढ़ाने के लिए मार्ग सुझाना है।
