UTILITY OF VALUE EDUCATION IN THE CURRENT EDUCATION SYSTEM

Education is an important and universal subject. It is essential for human society. Education is the foundation of human development. Due to this educational development, human beings are the leader of all creatures in the world. It is because of education that human beings develop their sociality, wisdom, speech, creativity, and splendor. It is through education that the innate powers of human beings develop, as a result of which their knowledge and skills increase and their behavior changes. This process starts as soon as a human being is born. At the time of birth, the child is unaware of all the activities of the world. He is absolutely antisocial. But with time, as the child grows, he becomes more and more active. As he grows up, he comes in contact with family and society. Before going to school, the child has learnt a lot from the family and society. In the process of this learning, discipline and values develop in the child. This systematic development process of learning and teaching continues inside and outside the school. It continues even after leaving school.

शिक्षा एक महत्वपूर्ण और सार्वभौम विषय है। मानव समाज के लिए अव्यावश्यक है। शिक्षा मानव विकास की नींव है। इसी शैक्षिक विकास के कारण मानव संसार के सभी प्राणियों का सिरमौर है। शिक्षा के कारण ही मानव अपनी सामाजिकता, विवेक, वाणी, सृजनशीलता, विभूषिय होता है। शिक्षा के माध्यम से ही मनुष्य की जन्यजात शक्तियों का विकास होता है इसके परिणाम स्वरूप उसके ज्ञान व कौशल में वृद्धि होती तथा उसके व्यवहार के स्वरूप में परिवर्त्तन आता है। यह प्रक्रिया मनुष्य के जन्म लेते ही शुरू हो जाता है। जन्म के समय बच्चा संसार की सभी गतिविधियों से अनजान रहता है। वह बिल्कुल भी असामाजिक होता है। लेकिन वक्त के साथ जैसे-जैसे वो बड़ा होता जाता है वैसे-वैसे वह परिवार व समाज के सम्पर्क में आते जाता है। विद्यालय जाने से पूर्व बालक परिवार एवं समाज से बहुत कुछ सीख चुका होता है। इसी सीखने के क्रम में बालक के अंदर अनुशासन और मूल्यों का विकास होता है। सीखने-सिखाने का यह क्रमबद्ध विकास प्रक्रिया स्कूल बाहर एवं स्कूल के अंदर चलते रहता है। यह स्कूल छोड़ने के बाद भी चलता रहता है।
