The purpose of the study is to analyze the fine motor precision abilities among 7-8 years aged School Children. To achieve the purpose of the study, ninety school children were selected (n=90) from Sri Sarada Vidyalaiya Higher Secondary School, Ariyakulam, Little Flower Public School, Gandhi Nagar, Govt. Higher Secondary School, Cadhedral Higher Secondary School, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, India as subject by stratified random sampling and their age ranged between 7 to 8 years. The selected participants were divided following category: Age group (7 & 8 years), and Gender (Boys and Girls). Member of these groups will consist of healthy school children from Tirunelveli District only. Prior to enrollment in the study, participants were informed of all possible risks involved in this study. The criterion variables selected for this study were fine motor precision abilities such as Filling in shape-circle, Filling in shape-star, Drawing line through path-crooked, Drawing line through path-curved, Connecting dots, Folding papers and Cutting out a circle.. All the subjects were tested by standardize test BOT-2.Static group comparison design was used for this study. A collected data by stratified random sampling were divided into the following category: Gender (Boys and Girls) and age group (7 & 8 years). The collected data were analyzed data by using the independent t-test with the help of SPSS software. The 7 and 8 years school children had significant difference on Filling in shape-circle, Filling in shape-star, Drawing line through path-crooked, Drawing line through path-curved, Connecting dots, Folding papers and Cutting out a circle. However, 8 years school children outperformed than 7 years school children on Filling in shape-circle, Filling in shape-star, Drawing line through path-crooked, Drawing line through path-curved, Connecting dots, Folding papers and Cutting out a circle. the boys and girls school children had significant difference on Filling in shape-circle, Filling in shape-star, Drawing line through path-crooked, Drawing line through path-curved, Connecting dots, Folding papers and Cutting out a circle. However, boys school children aged 7-12 years outperformed than girls school children on Filling in shape-circle, Filling in shape-star, Drawing line through path-crooked, Drawing line through path-curved, Connecting dots, Folding papers and Cutting out a circle.
