ಕಮಲಾ ಹಂಪನಾ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯದ ಕುರಿತು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ “ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣಿನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾದ ದಿನದಿಂದಲೇ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಆರ್ಕಷಣೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಗಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡಸುತನ, ಪೌರುಷತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಸರಾದಂತೆ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ತನ್ನ ಲಜ್ಜೆ, ಕೋಮಲತ್ವ, ಸೌಂದರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾದಳು. ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಗಂಡಿನೊAದಿಗೆ ರಹಸ್ಯದ ಬೀಡು, ಕನಸಿನ ಗೂಡು, ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅನೇಕ ವಿಧಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದ ಪುರುಷನಿಗೆ ಅವಳೊಂದು ಸವಾಲೇ ಆದಳು, ಮೀನಿನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿದ, ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಎಣಿಸಿದ ಮಾನವನಿಗೆ ಹೆಣ್ಣಿನ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಗೆ ಆತ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದ ಪರಿ ಮುಖಸುತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಎಂದು ಆತ ಹೆಣ್ಣಿನ ಬಹಿರಂಗ ಅಂತರAಗಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಲು ಬಾಯಿತೆರೆದನೋ ಅಂದಿನಿAದ ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಲ್ಲ ಹೆಣ್ಣಿನ ಅಂಗಾAಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಿ ವರ್ಣಿಸುವ ಆತ ಬಹುಶಃ ತನ್ನ ನಾಲಿಗೆಗೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಎಂದೂ ವಿರಾಮ ಕೊಡಲಾರ; ತೆಗಳಿಕೆಗೂ ಈ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಅನ್ವರ್ಥವಾಗಿದೆ”೨ ದೂರದರ್ಶನ ಚಂದನ ವಾಹಿನಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಇತರ ಖಾಸಗಿ ದೂರದರ್ಶನ ವಾಹಿನಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಭಿನ್ನ ಹಾಗೂ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಕಾರಣ ಇದು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಸ್ವಾಮ್ಯದ ಸ್ವಯತ್ತ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನುವುದೇ ಆಗಿದೆ.
