Harmony between the educated and the uneducated among farmers: In the story “Muttu”, the difficulties of harmony between the life of a farming family and those who have gone to Bangalore city to get an education and work are expressed through the experiences of the village and the city dwellers. The heroine of this story, “Nimmi”, says, “I have felt a thousand times that I could have married a landlord and become a gardener. It is only a feeling, but the infatuation of the magical city of Bangalore leaves no one. There is a crazy desire to cut down something here, build a fence and save it. What is being achieved is nothing, only the necessities of food and clothing for two days.

ಕೃಷಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕಲಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಿಯದೆ ಇರುವವರ ನಡುವಿನ ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯ: “ಮುಟ್ಟು” ಕತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೃಷಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಬದುಕು ಮತ್ತು ಕೃಷಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದಿAದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆದು ದುಡಿಯಲು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಿಟಿಗೆ ಹೋದವರ ನಡುವಿನ ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯದ ತೊಡಕುಗಳು, ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಗರವಾಸಿಗಳ ಅನುಭವದ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ. ಈ ಕತೆಯ ನಾಯಕಿ “ನಿಮ್ಮಿ” “ಯಾವ್ದಾದ್ರು ಜಮೀನ್ದಾರನ್ನ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕೆ ಅಂತ ಹಾಯಾಗಿರಬಹುದಿತ್ತು ಅಂತ ಸಾವಿರಸಲ ಅನಿಸಿದೆ. ಬರಿ ಅನಿಸುವುದಷ್ಟೇ, ಆದರೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಎಂಬ ಮಾಯಾ ನಗರಿಯ ವ್ಯಾಮೋಹ ಯಾರನ್ನು ಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲೇನೋ ಕಡಿದು ಕಟ್ಟೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಉದ್ಧಾರ ಮಾಡುವುದಿದೆ, ಎಂಬ ಹುಚ್ಚು ಹಂಬಲ. ಸಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಏನೂ ಅಲ್ಲ ಎರಡು ಹೊತ್ತಿನ ಊಟ ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಗಳನ್ನಷ್ಟೇ.
