STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF FAMILY ENVIRONMENT ON THE EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT OF SECONDARY LEVEL STUDENTS

Abstract [English]

The present study is a study of the effect of family environment on the educational achievement of secondary level students. In this study, a comparative study of the educational achievement of students with high, medium and low family environment has been done. In the present study, survey method has been used under descriptive research. The students studying in secondary schools located in the urban area of ​​Mathura district have been considered as the population. The secondary schools have been selected by objective method, after which 100 boys and 100 girls studying in it, i.e. a total of 200 students have been selected by stratified random method. As a tool, the Family Environment Schedule prepared by K.S. Mishra and the marks obtained by the students in the Class 10 examination have been kept as educational achievement. For the analysis of the data, the variance method (ANOVA) and the t-ratio statistical method have been used. In the conclusion of the present study, it was found that the family environment has an effect on the educational achievement of the secondary level students, that is, the educational achievement of the students with high, middle and low family environment is different from each other.

प्रस्तुत अध्ययन माध्यमिक स्तर के विद्यार्थियों के शैक्षिक उपलब्धि पर पारिवारिक वातावरण के प्रभाव का अध्ययन हैं। इस अध्ययन में उच्च, मध्यम एवं निम्न पारिवारिक वातावरण वाले विद्यार्थियों के शैक्षिक उपलब्धि का तुलनात्मक अध्ययन किया गया है। प्रस्तुत अध्ययन में वर्णनात्मक अनुसंधान के अन्तर्गत सर्वेक्षण विधि का प्रयोग किया गया है। जनसंख्या के रूप में मथुरा जनपद के शहरी क्षेत्र में स्थितमाध्यमिक विद्यालयों में अध्ययनरत छात्र-छात्राओं को जनसंख्या माना गया है। माध्यमिक विद्यालयों का चयन उद्देश्यपरक विधि से किया गया है तत्पश्चात् उसमें अध्ययनरत् 100 छात्र एवं 100 छात्राओं अर्थात् कुल 200 विद्यार्थियों का चयन स्तरीकृत यादृच्छिक विधि से किया गया है। उपकरण के रूप में के०एस० मिश्र द्वारा निर्मित पारिवारिक वातावरण अनुसूची एवं विद्यार्थियों के कक्षा 10 की परीक्षा में प्राप्त प्राप्तांक को शैक्षिक उपलब्धि के रूप में रखा गया है। आंकड़ों के विश्लेषण के लिए प्रसरण विधि (एनोवा) एवं टी-अनुपात सांख्यिकी विधि का प्रयोग किया है। प्रस्तुत अध्ययन के निष्कर्ष में पाया गया कि माध्यमिक स्तर के विद्यार्थियों के शैक्षिक उपलब्धि पर पारिवारिक वातावरण पर प्रभाव है अर्थात उच्च मध्यम एवं निम्न पारिवारिक वातावरण वाले विद्यार्थियों के शैक्षिक उपलब्धि एक-दूसरे से भिन्न है।
