Abstract [English]

India Middle East Economic Corridor was a project to counter China’s BRI and strengthening the India Middle East, Europe’s collaboration in the sector of Economic, Energy, Infrastructure and politics’, security etc. Sept, 2023 in New Delhi G20 summit members US, India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Germany, EU signed an Auxiliary Memorandum of Understanding to develop this project. A key component of the IMEC is the development of integrated infrastructure, including ports, railways, and highways, which would significantly reduce trade costs and time. This initiative is poised to play a central role in India's growing economic influence in the region while supporting Middle Eastern countries’ efforts to diversify their economies away from oil dependency.
In this research paper we investigate the strategic importance of IMEC and Challenges to complete this project. Also this study highlights how this corridor not only diversifies energy sources and routes but also reconfigures geopolitical alliances and economic dependencies in Asia and beyond.
