Abstract [English]

Since independence, continuous efforts are being made for the development of primary education. So that the goal of universalization of education can be achieved. Many schemes and programs have been implemented for its development. In this sequence, to achieve the goal of universalization, the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan program in 2001 is a latest initiative in this direction. This program is a time-bound plan for universalization of primary education and providing quality education. Which is being operated through the center, state and local bodies. In which, with useful and meaningful primary education, social, regional and gender inequality is to be eliminated with the active participation of the community and universal retention of children in school is to be ensured. The focus of this scheme is mainly rural areas. Many facilities are being provided so that everyone can get education.

स्वतंत्रता प्राप्ति के पश्चात से प्राथमिक शिक्षा के विकास हेतु लगातार प्रयास किए जा रहे है। जिससे शिक्षा के सार्वभौमिकता के लक्ष्य को प्राप्त किया जा सके। इसके विकास के लिए अनेक योजनाओं तथा कार्यक्रमों का क्रियान्वयन किया गया है। इसी क्रम में सार्वभौमिकता के लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने हेतु 2001 में सर्वशिक्षा अभियान कार्यक्रम इस दिशा में एक नवीनतम पहल है। यह कार्यक्रम प्राथमिक शिक्षा के सार्वभौमिकरण एवं गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा प्रदान करने की एक समयबद्ध योजना है। जो केन्द्र, राज्य और स्थानीय निकायों के माध्यम से संचालित किया जा रहा है। जिसमें उपयोगी एवं सार्थक प्रारंभिक शिक्षा के साथ समुदाय की सक्रिय सहभागिता से सामाजिक, क्षेत्रीय तथा लैगिंक असमानता को समाप्त करना तथा विद्यालय में बच्चों के सार्वभौमिक ठहराव को सुनिश्चित करना है। इस योजना के केन्द्र में मुख्यतः ग्रामीण क्षेत्र है। सभी को शिक्षा प्राप्त हो, इसके लिए अनेक सुविधाएं मुहैया करायी जा रही है।
