THREE PILLARS OF AUTOMATED ISSUE RETURN IN LIBRARIRES

Abstract [English]

Managing the books and other resources in libraries is a challenging task. Nowadays, with the use of technology, the process of maintaining and searching books in libraries has become easier. The use of information and technology has further increased the functions and importance of libraries. Various technical methods are being resorted to making it simple and effective. These technologies include Barcode, QR Code and RFID. Their purpose is to automate and streamline the collection, circulation and searching processes in libraries. The use of these modern technologies has improved the identification, discovery and management of resources in libraries, providing better services to the users by lending books and other documents for home use. This article discusses these three technologies, their applications, advantages and challenges in libraries.

पुस्तकालयों में पुस्तकों और अन्य संसाधनों का प्रबंधन एक चुनौतीपूर्ण कार्य है। आजकल तकनीकी व प्रौद्योगिकी के प्रयोग से पुस्तकालयों में पुस्तकों के रख-रखाव और खोजने की प्रक्रिया में आसानी हो गई है। सूचना एवं तकनीकी के उपयोग ने पुस्तकालयों के कार्यो एवं महत्ता को और बढ़ा दिया है। इसे सरल और प्रभावी बनाने के लिए विभिन्न तकनीकी विधियों का सहारा लिया जा रहा है। इन तकनीकियों में बारकोड (ठंतबवकम), क्यूआर कोड (फत् ब्वकम) और आर.एफ.आई.डी. (त्थ्प्क्) सम्मिलित हैं। इनका उद्देश्य पुस्तकालयों में संग्रहण, परिसंचरण और खोज प्रक्रियाओं को स्वचालित और सुगम बनाना है। इन आधुनिक तकनीकों के उपयोग से पुस्तकालयों में संसाधनों की पहचान, खोज और प्रबंधन में सुधार हुआ है, जिससे उपयोगकर्ताओं को और अधिक अच्छी सेवाएं मिल रही हैं। इस लेख में इन तीन तकनीकों के बारे मंे, उनके अनुप्रयोग, लाभों और चुनौतियों पर चर्चा की गयी है।
