फैशन एक ऐसा विषय है जिस का हम अपने जीवन में प्रतिदिन सामना करते हैं। फैशन के रुझान हर समय बदलते रहते हैं। ये आते हैं और चले जाते हैं, इस दौरान लगातार समाज के मूल्य भी स्थापित होते रहते हैं। इन सामाजिक मूल्यों के अनुसार ही फैशन के रुझान समाज में अपनाए जाते हैं। साधारण रूप से यह एक लोकप्रिय शैली है जो कपड़ों, जूतों, सहायक सामग्री व मेकअप के क्षेत्र इत्यादि में देखी जाती है। जब सम्पूर्ण समाज में यह व्याप्त है तो किशोर वर्ग भी इससे अछूता नहीं है। किशोर वर्ग द्वारा पहने जाने वाले परिधानों पर भी फैशन का अत्यंत गहरा प्रभाव पड़ता है। यह कसी विशेष अवसर के दौरान प्रचलित प्रथा उपयोग या शैली है और साथ ही आंतरिक भावनाओं और अभिव्यक्ति को जाहिर करने का एक तरीका भी है इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है कि फैशन ने वर्तमान पीढ़ी को हर संभव तरीके से अपनी गिरफ्त में ले लिया है। साथ ही क्या पहनना है और क्या नहीं इसका फैसला भी हमारे हाथ में ही है
