Abstract [English]

The paper discussed the Tribal movements in Rajasthan and how Gandhian philosophy had contributed to these movements. The three different phases of tribal movements in Rajasthan were discussed. The early tribal consciousness was focused on the socio-cultural preservation of their culture, whereas the movements in the later phase were more concerned about the preservation of their tribal habitat and resistance against the economic and political exploitations by the Princely States and the British.
