Abstract [English]

The intersection of criminal sanctions and Indian philosophical frameworks reveals how ancient legal concepts have evolved to meet modern justice needs. India's criminal justice system has long been shaped by its philosophical and religious traditions, particularly the ideas of Dharma and Danda. This analysis traces the evolution of criminal sanctions from ancient punitive systems to modern legal standards, showing how India has balanced its legal heritage with contemporary justice principles. The exploration highlights the dynamic relationship between tradition and innovation in shaping India's current legal system.
