HISTORICITY AND MODERNITY OF LINGUISTICS: A STUDY

Abstract [English]

The language of any community is not easily created. It has to go through many stages of its creation, only then it becomes a mirror of the society of that time by being grammatically correct, cultured and useful for literature. Centuries pass in the creation of the language of any community, only then languages ​​are born. This language, born from the external and internal efforts of man, travels through the group. This journey carries with it the cultural, social and religious splendor of the then society of man. All the languages ​​created by human communities are the heritage of our collective culture. The world of languages ​​in this world is so vast that it is not easily possible to have accurate and complete knowledge of it, but there is no answer to the curiosity of man either. He wants to know even those subjects which are beyond his control. God knows how many mysteries man has solved, how many are in the process of being solved and how many are still unsolved for the future. Intelligent man has always accepted these challenges. Knowing the history of language is no less than a challenge. Scholars are not unanimous on how it originated, but the tradition of its accurate study is called linguistics. When did the study of this linguistics begin in society? It is not easy for scholars to determine it correctly. Some linguists claim that the scientific study of language has been done from this specific time, while other linguists set new limits. It is not possible to get a standard solution to this problem easily. The presented research paper is a humble attempt to do a brief updated study of the study tradition of linguistics.

किसी भी जनसमुदाय की भाषा सहज सुनिर्मित नहीं होती है। उसे अपने निर्माण के अनेक चरण देखने पड़ते हैं, तब कहीं वह व्याकरण सम्मत, सुसंस्कृत एवं साहित्योपयोगी होकर तत्कालीन समाज का दर्पण बनती है। किसी भी समुदाय की भाषा के निर्माण में शताब्दियां गुजर जाती हैं, तब जाकर भाषाएं जन्म लेती हैं। मनुष्य के बाह्य एवं आन्तरिक प्रयत्नों से उत्पन्न यह भाषा समूह की यात्रा करती है। यह यात्रा मानव के तत्कालीन समाज का सांस्कृतिक, सामाजिक एवं धार्मिक वैभव साथ लेकर चलती है। मानव समुदायों द्वारा निर्मित सभी भाषाएं हमारी सामूहिक संस्कृति की धरोहर हैं। इस विश्व में भाषाओं का संसार इतना विस्तृत है जिसका सटीक एवं सम्पूर्ण ज्ञान हो पाना सहज संभव नहीं लेकिन मनुष्य की जिज्ञासा का भी जवाब नहीं। वह उन विषयों को भी जानना चाहता है जिन पर उसका वश नहीं। न जाने कितने रहस्य मनुष्य सुलझा चुका है, कितनों को सुलझाने की प्रक्रिया चल रही है और कितने ही भविष्य के लिए अनसुलझे रह गए हैं। इन चुनौतियों को सुधी मानव सदैव स्वीकार करता रहा है। भाषा के इतिहास को जानना भी किसी चुनौती से कम नहीं है। इसकी उत्पत्ति कैसे हुई इस पर भी विद्वान एकमत नहीं है लेकिन इसके सटीक अध्ययन की परम्परा का नाम भाषा विज्ञान है। इस भाषा विज्ञान का अध्ययन समाज में कब से शुरू हुआ? इसका सही-सही निर्धारण विद्वानों के लिए सरल नहीं। कुछ भाषा विज्ञानी यह दावा करते हैं कि भाषा का वैज्ञानिक अध्ययन इस निश्चित समय से हुआ है, वहीं दूसरे भाषा वैज्ञानिक नई सीमा निर्धारित कर देते हैं। इस समस्या का मानक हल सहज प्राप्त होना सम्भव भी नहीं। प्रस्तुत शोध पत्र भाषा विज्ञान की अध्ययन परम्परा का संक्षिप्त अद्यतन अनुशीलन करने का विनम्र प्रयास है।
