HINDI WRITING ON NORTHEAST: IN THE CONTEXT OF TRIBAL SOCIETY

Abstract [English]

This study attempts to understand the writings being written in Hindi on the Northeast. The Northeast seems to be almost absent in Hindi literature under Hindi writing. In the long history of Hindi literature, there are very few writings on the Northeast. In the modern era, some travelogues, memoirs, stories, novels, etc. have been written on the Northeast. Apart from these, some poems have also been written on the Northeast. Some important novels have been written, in which most of the writers do not belong to the tribal society here. But in their novels, the society of the Northeast has appeared with its diversity. Among these writers are Devendra Satyarthi's 'Brahmaputra', Krishnachandra Sharma's 'Bhikkhu', 'Raktyatra', Shri Prakash Mishra's 'Where the Bamboos Flower', 'Rupatilli Ki Katha' and Mahendranath Dubey's 'Mukti', Lal Bahadur Verma's 'North-East', Shridhar Pandey's 'Aahuti', and Joram Yalam Nabam's 'Jungli Phool' etc. Similarly, in the category of travelogues, there are some important works, which include Agyeya's 'Hey Yaayavar Rahega Yaad', Mridula Garg's 'Kuch Atke Kuch Bhatke', Asghar Wajahat's 'Raste Ki Talash Mein', Anil Yadav's 'Wah Bhi Koi Desh Hai Maharaj', Sawarmal Sanganeria's 'On the Land of Arunodaya' and 'Brahmaputra Ke Kinare'. Some important writers have also written stories, among which Agyeya's 'Jaidol' and Nabam's 'Sakshi Hai Peepal' are some. Works related to the Northeast have been written in other genres as well. Shriprakash Mishra's 'Words on Silence', 'Words with Fine Taarons', 'Words are Poems' and 'Miamad' are poetry collections.

पूर्वोत्तर को लेकर हिन्दी में लिखी जा रही रचनाओं को इस अध्ययन में जानने-समझने की चेष्टा की गयी है। हिन्दी लेखन के अंतर्गत हिन्दी साहित्य में पूर्वोत्तर लगभग अनुपस्थित सा दिखाई देता है। हिन्दी साहित्य के लम्बे इतिहास में पूर्वोत्तर विषयक रचनाएँ अत्यंत कम हैं। आधुनिक काल में पूर्वोत्तर को लेकर कुछ यात्रावृत्तांत, संस्मरण, कहानी, उपन्यास आदि लिखे गए हैं। इनके अतिरिक्त पूर्वोत्तर को लेकर कुछ कविताएँ भी लिखी गई हैं। कुछ ऐसे महत्वपूर्ण उपन्यास लिखे गए हैं, जिनमें अधिकांश लेखक यहाँ के आदिवासी समाज से संबंधित नहीं हैं। लेकिन उनके उपन्यासों में पूर्वोत्तर का समाज अपने वैविध्य के साथ उपस्थित हुआ है। इन लेखकों में देवेन्द्र सत्यार्थी का 'ब्रह्मपुत्र', कृष्णचन्द्र शर्मा का ‘भिक्खु’,‘रक्तयात्रा', श्री प्रकाश मिश्र के 'जहाँ बाँस फूलते हैं', 'रूपतिल्ली की कथा' तथा महेद्रनाथ दुबे का ‘मुक्ति', लालबहादुर वर्मा का 'उत्तर-पूर्व', श्रीधर पाण्डेय का 'आहुति', तथा जोराम यालाम नाबाम का 'जंगली फूल' आदि है । इसी प्रकार यात्रावृत्तांत की श्रेणी में कुछ महत्वपूर्ण रचनाएँ हैं, जिनमें अज्ञेय का 'अरे यायावर रहेगा याद', मृदुला गर्ग का कुछ अटके कुछ भटके', असगर वजाहत का 'रास्ते की तलाश में, अनिल यादव का 'वह भी कोई देश है महाराज', सावरमल सांगानेरिया का 'अरुणोदय की धरती पर ' तथा 'ब्रह्मपुत्र के किनारे-किनारे ' है । कुछ जोराम यालाम महत्वपूर्ण लेखकों ने कहानी की भी रचना की है, जिसमें से अज्ञेय का ‘जयदोल’, नाबाम का ‘साक्षी है पीपल' है । अन्य विधाओं में भी पूर्वोत्तर से संबंधित रचनाएँ लिखी गई हैं। श्रीप्रकाश मिश्र का मौन पर शब्द, शब्द के बारीक तारों से', 'शब्द संभावनाएँ हैं' तथा 'मिअमाड' कविता संग्रह हैं।
