DEPICTION OF NATURE IN RAJASTHANI GITA GOVINDA

Abstract [English]

Humans have evolved their life in Nature’s Lap and gradually developed the consciousness accordingly. Nature’s beauty and mesmerizing elements have always influenced and attracted humans towards it. This impacted human to an extent that elements of Nature were established as divine powers namely Surya, Chandra, Vayu, Varuna, Indra, and Pruthvi. Poets and Painters have given Nature a new dimension with their imagination, vision, emotions, and glorification. The paintings found in Indian Art have been depicting Nature’s elements in Jainism, Buddhism and Brahmanism majorly. The renaissance of Indian Art has been initiated by Rajput Style Paintings and this is noticeable that they were also influenced by Nature. The painters in Rajasthan were equally attracted by elements of Nature as the poets were. The major poetic-literature created were Sur-Sagar, Ramayana, Bhagwat Puran, Mahabharata, Geet-Govind etc.
The poetic-literature Geet-Govind consists of enormous amount of beautiful Nature-depiction in it, with bright colors and figures covered under Rajasthan’s style. Lotus floating in Yamuna River, deep-blue clouds covering the sky, Moon, stars, tree-groves, forest, flowers & plants filled over mountains have been depicted beautifully. In Rajasthan’s Style of paintings, the sky has a noticeable importance. Each artwork has the sky depiction on top area of frame with different climatic conditions like clouds, rain, plain open sky, stars in night etc. which is done on flat form surface.
Objectives: Present research paper “Depiction of Nature in Rajasthan’s Geet-Govind” covers a unique angle of study which justifies the Flora & Fauna depictions in miniature. The motive of the paper is to showcase & mark different Natural demographics of Rajasthan in Geet Govind and the climatic influence over it. This paper also aims towards different art styles of Rajput Miniature covering different Bhava and Rasa theory conceptualized in Geet-Govind. Thus, the research paper will be helpful for further research-scholars, this will increase interest in studying the topic and will provide a new vision(dimension) for observing the Geet-Govind.

द्विवेदी, प्रेमशंकर: गीत-गोविंद, साहित्य एवं कलागत अनुशीलन, कला प्रकाशन, वाराणसी, 2010 इस पुस्तक में भारतीय संस्कृति को आधार मानकर श्री कृष्ण एवं उनकी अनंत श्री राधा के परम कला रहस्य को गीत-गोविंद काव्य एवं चित्रकला के माध्यम से उद्घाटित करने का प्रयास किया गया है। पुस्तक में 10 अध्याय है इन अध्यायों में गीत-गोविंद के साहित्यिक एवं कलागत रहस्यों का परिचय श्री जयदेव के जीवन काल का उल्लेख, जयदेव कालीन भारतीय संस्कृति, राधा और कृष्ण तत्त्वों की व्याख्या, भगवान विष्णु के 10 अवतार से संबंधित परवती साहित्य एवं चित्रकला पर काव्य के विस्तार एवं प्रभाव और गीत-गोविंद मूल काव्य और उसका हिंदी अनुवाद प्रस्तुत किया गया है। पुस्तक में चित्रों के माध्यम से विषय वस्तु को स्पष्ट किया गया है। इस शोध-पत्र कार्य में यह पुस्तक अत्यंत उपयोगी रही है।

वात्स्यायन कपिला: मेवाड़ी गीत गोविंद, राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय, नई दिल्ली, 1947 पुस्तक में लेखक ने मेवाड़ी चित्रकला का उद्भव विकास की व्याख्या करते हुए इस शैली में 17वीं सदी के उत्तरार्ध में बने गीत-गोविंद लघु चित्रों की प्रति प्रतिकृतियों के साथ सविस्तार से व्याख्या की हैं। इसमें मेवाड़ी चित्रों में अंकित गीत-गोविंद विषयक 162 श्वेत-श्याम व 39 रंगीन लघु चित्रों की प्रतिक्रिया समाहित है। यह लघुचित्र राजकीय संग्रहालय उदयपुर में संग्रहित है। इस पुस्तक के माध्यम से मेवाड़ शैली गीत-गोविंद के विषय में सुक्ष्म वाक्य से जानकारी प्राप्त होती है। जिससे इस शोध-पत्र कार्य में महत्वपूर्ण सहायता प्राप्त हुई है।

प्रताप, रीता (वैश्य): जयपुर की चित्रांकन परंपरा, राजस्थान हिंदी ग्रंथ अकादमी, जयपुर, 2011 इस पुस्तक में जयपुर की चित्रांकन परंपरा को छः अध्याय में बांटा गया है। इस पुस्तक में ढूंढाड/जयपुर की चित्रकला के वैविध्यमयी व बहुआयामी स्वरूप को रेखांकित करने का प्रयास किया गया है। इन चित्रों में अनेक राजवंशों, कलावधियों, चित्रकारों, भावनाओं, अनुभवों, जिज्ञासाओं, धार्मिक व अलौकिक तत्त्व आदि नये-नये तत्त्वों से परिचय करवाते हैं। जो इस शोध-पत्र कार्य में आवश्यक ही लाभदायक रही हैं।
