CONCEPT OF BEAUTY AND CHANGE WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO PAINTING

Abstract [English]

According to Indian concept of art, the only purpose of art is to provide experience of rasa to spectators or conossiurs. This is applicable on all fine arts. The aesthetic concept of ancient fine arts is mentioned in the Chitrasutra of Vishnudharmottar Puran, Samarangan Sutradhar, and Kamasutra but in modern period due to the change in format of fine arts, the concept of beauty has also changed because the concepts of beauty and fine arts are interdependent. In modern Period colour, theme, limbs of art, form etc. have changed. Today form has been distorted, as well as, conceptual art has evolved in visual form which includes installation, performance, new media art, etc. But there is no change in the Process of Rasa Anubhuti and its Nishpatti. After the distortion of form, Rasa and bhava is to be experienced by the spectator.

भारतीय विचारधारा के अनुसार कला का एकमात्र उद्देश्य रसानुभूति है। यह सभी ललित कलाओं पर प्रयोज्य है। प्राचीन ललित कलाओं की सौन्दर्य-अवधारणा के मानक तत्वों का उल्लेख हमें विष्णुधर्मोत्तर पुराण, के चित्रसूत्र, समरागंणसूत्रधार तथा कामसूत्र में मिलता है, परन्तु आधुनिक युग में ललित कलाओं के मानकों में परिवर्तन होने से सौन्दर्य की अवधारणा में भी परिवर्तन हो गया है, क्योंकि सौन्दर्य की अवधारणा और ललित कलाएँ परस्पर आश्रित है । आधुनिक युग में वर्तना के क्रम, षडंग, रूप, आकार, आदि के मानक बदल गये है। आज रूप, रूप न रहकर उसका विरूपण हो गया है, साथ ही दृश्य रूपों में कान्सेप्च्युअल कला आ गई है, जिसमें इंस्टालेशन, परफॅार्मेंस, न्यू मीडिया आर्ट, आदि आ गये है। लेकिन फिर भी रसनिष्पत्ति की प्रक्रिया में कोई परिवर्तन नहीं आया है, रूप के विरूपण में भी भाव व रस की अनुभूति होती है।
