The word environment has its origin from the word Parivarana. There is a clean cover that surrounds the universe from all sides. Life is impossible without a pure environment. The environment is made up of nature provided air, water, land etc. It is necessary to keep the environment balanced. A deteriorating balance can be life threatening. The environment is becoming increasingly depressed for industrial development and material amenities.
The destruction of the source of rain due to continuous cutting of forests, destroying the life of wildlife is making the environment unbalanced. The role of forests as an important part of the environment is essential for development.
