Abstract [English]

Education is considered crucial in the overall development of human life. Education is not merely a process of acquiring knowledge or developing skills, but a powerful socio-cultural process that shapes a person's thoughts, behavior, attitudes, and life values. From birth to the final stage of life, a child continuously learns from their experiences, environment, family, school, and society, and through this continuous learning process, their value consciousness develops. These values guide a person's life and form the basis for the stability of society, the continuity of culture, and the progress of civilization. In the Indian tradition of thought, education has always been considered a means of moral, spiritual, and social development. Ancient philosophers linked life values to dharma, artha, kama, and moksha, while modern psychologists and sociologists have linked values to a person's attitudes, interests, and social behavior. Contemporary pedagogy recognizes that school is not only a center of curricular knowledge but also a key site of value inculcation. The school environment, the medium, teacher behavior, peer group, family background, and social context all contribute to the formation of students' values.
