Dear Readers and Contributors,
The Department of English, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, successfully organized a Two-Day International Conference on “Language Diversity, Social and Technological Development in Educational and Economic Transformation: In Alignment with NEP 2020” on 25th–26th November 2025. The conference, held in hybrid mode, brought together academicians, researchers, scholars, and practitioners from diverse disciplines and regions to deliberate on the evolving intersections of language, education, technology, and socio-economic development.
The conference provided a vibrant academic platform for discussions on themes such as multilingual education, technological innovations in pedagogy, digital tools for inclusive learning, AI and language processing, social media and youth education, and the transformative vision of NEP 2020. The presentations reflected both theoretical insights and practical perspectives, with particular attention to marginalized regions, indigenous knowledge systems, and emerging digital ecosystems.
Following a rigorous peer-review process, selected papers from the conference have been curated for publication as a Special Issue, reflecting the scholarly depth and interdisciplinary engagement demonstrated during the event. The contributions in this issue highlight contemporary challenges and opportunities in education and society, offering meaningful insights for researchers, educators, and policymakers.
I extend my sincere gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, advisors, coordinators, convenor, organizing committee members, national and international experts, and all contributors whose collective efforts ensured the success of the conference. I also acknowledge the publisher for their support in disseminating these scholarly works through this Special Issue.
It is my hope that this Special Issue will serve as a valuable resource and inspire further research, collaboration, and innovation in the fields of language, education, and technology.
