Abstract [English]

Linear programming (LP) and goal programming (GP) are foundational optimization techniques widely used in statistical analysis, operations research, and decision sciences. LP focuses on optimizing a linear objective function subject to linear constraints, while GP extends LP to accommodate multiple, often conflicting objectives by minimizing deviations from predefined targets. This paper provides a comprehensive examination of LP and GP, detailing their theoretical foundations, solution methodologies, and applications in statistical modeling and decision-making processes. Through the integration of real-world examples, the paper highlights the significance of these methods in enhancing resource allocation, policy formulation, and operational efficiency.
