Abstract [English]

Professional development plays a crucial role in enhancing the competence and effectiveness of teachers. This study was conducted to analyze the perceptions of professional development among teachers of government and private senior secondary schools. For this purpose, a self-developed perception scale was constructed by the researcher and administered to 200 teachers (male and female). Data were collected through the survey method and analyzed using the t-test. The findings of the study revealed a significant difference in the perceptions of professional development between government and private school teachers, while no significant difference was found between the perceptions of male and female teachers. Based on the findings, it is recommended that all teachers be provided with equal training opportunities, access to resources, and continuous professional development programs to improve the quality of teaching and strengthen the education system.
