The secondary school stage is extremely important in the educational life of any student, as this is the time when students move from childhood to adolescence, and at the same time there are extensive changes in their educational, mental, social and emotional structure. In this transitional period, students not only have to excel in the field of education, but also have to face many mental challenges such as competition, family expectations, social pressure and self-criticism. Due to these circumstances, the problem of academic stress among students studying in secondary schools is becoming serious day by day. This stress is a type of mental state in which students experience helplessness, pressure and anxiety, which can have a negative impact on their educational achievements, health and general lifestyle. One of the main causes of academic stress is excessive curriculum and exam based evaluation system. At the secondary level, students have to study many subjects at the same time, which include mathematics, science, social sciences, languages etc. These subjects are not only knowledge intensive, but the expectations of passing them are also very high. Apart from this, the fear of board exams, competition to score marks, and expectations of parents and teachers put a lot of mental pressure on students. This makes students constantly worried that if they do not score good marks, their future may be bleak. This feeling makes them stressed.
