SOCIAL VALUES ​​IN THE FOLK LITERATURE OF PANDIT JAGANNATH

Abstract [English]

Social values ​​are those principles which govern the behaviour and actions of people in any society. These values ​​are based on social behaviour, sensitivity and mutual respect and create a well-organised society. The major social values ​​include respect for others, respect for mutual views, cooperation, truthfulness, honesty, justice to all, equal behaviour, compassion towards others, sense of performing one's duties and maintaining goodwill in the society. These values ​​spread unity, happiness and peace in the society and make people responsible and sensitive towards each other.
The present research paper describes the social values ​​contained in the folk literature of Pandit Jagannath. Pandit Jagannath was a famous folk poet and singer of Haryana. Social values ​​have a special place in Pandit Jagannath's folk literature which emphasizes the principles of morality, duty, preservation of cultural heritage and equality in the society. The purpose of his folk literature is to propagate the spirit of morality and unity in the society. Values ​​touching various aspects of society have been presented very deeply in Pandit Jagannath's literature. His writings promote the spirit of collectivism, cooperation and brotherhood which is the basis of the strength of any society. His literature teaches harmony and co-existence among different religions, castes and communities in the society. He believes that society can develop only when all people live together in unity and love. Morality and sense of duty have a paramount place in Pandit Jagannath's folk literature. Social values ​​like ideal behavior, truthfulness, honesty and duty fulfillment have been discussed in his works which make a person aware of right and wrong and develop the qualities of a good citizen in the society.

सामाजिक मूल्य वे सिद्धांत हैं जो किसी भी समाज में लोगों के व्यवहार और क्रियाओं को नियंत्रित करते हैं। ये मूल्य सामाजिक व्यवहार, संवेदनशीलता और पारस्परिक सम्मान पर आधारित होते हैं और एक सुव्यवस्थित समाज का निर्माण करते हैं। प्रमुख सामाजिक मूल्यों में दूसरों के प्रति सम्मान रखना, परस्पर विचारों को आदर देना, सहयोग, सच्चाई, ईमानदारी, सबके प्रति न्याय, समानता का व्यवहार, दूसरों के प्रति दया, अपने कर्त्तव्यों को निभाने का भाव और समाज में सद्भावना बनाए रखना शामिल हैं। ये मूल्य समाज में एकता, सुख और शांति का संचार करते हैं और लोगों को एक-दूसरे के प्रति जिम्मेदार और संवेदनशील बनाते हैं।
प्रस्तुत शोध पत्र में पं० जगन्नाथ के लोक साहित्य में निहित सामाजिक मूल्यों का वर्णन किया गया है। पंडित जगन्नाथ हरियाणा के एक प्रसिद्ध लोक कवि और गायक थे। पं० जगन्नाथ के लोक साहित्य में सामाजिक मूल्यों का विशेष स्थान है जो समाज में नैतिकता, कर्त्तव्यपालन, सांस्कृतिक धरोहर के संरक्षण और समानता के सिद्धांतों को बल देते हैं। उनके लोक साहित्य का उद्देश्य समाज में नैतिकता और एकता की भावना का प्रचार करना है। पं० जगन्नाथ के साहित्य में समाज के विभिन्न पहलुओं को छूने वाले मूल्य अत्यंत गहनता से प्रस्तुत किए गए हैं। उनके लेखन में सामूहिकता, सहयोग और भाईचारे की भावना को बढ़ावा दिया गया है जो किसी भी समाज की मजबूती का आधार होती है। उनका साहित्य समाज में विभिन्न धर्मों, जातियों और समुदायों के बीच सामंजस्य और सह-अस्तित्व की शिक्षा देता है। उनका मानना है कि समाज तभी विकसित हो सकता है जब उसमें सभी लोग मिलजुल कर एकता और प्रेमपूर्वक रहें। पं० जगन्नाथ के लोक साहित्य में नैतिकता और कर्त्तव्यपालन की भावना का स्थान सर्वोपरि है। उनकी रचनाओं में आदर्श व्यवहार, सत्यता, ईमानदारी और कर्त्तव्यपालन जैसे सामाजिक मूल्यों की चर्चा की गई है जो व्यक्ति को सही और गलत का बोध कराते हैं और समाज में एक अच्छे नागरिक के गुण विकसित करते हैं।
