STUDY OF THE IMPACT OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE OF TEACHERS WORKING IN HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOLS ON THEIR ADJUSTMENT CAPACITY AND OCCUPATIONAL STRESS

Abstract [English]

With the increase in population, there has been an explosion of numbers in education. Now lifelong education is talked about and planning is not limited to any particular period of age. Now questions of significance and context are raised. Under equality of educational opportunities, the removal of regional imbalance, cultural differences and social discrimination is talked about prominently in educational planning. Thus we are seeing that the field of educational planning is becoming very wide nowadays. Swami Vivekananda has accepted the importance of education in the field of education. While visiting many cities of Europe, he has also seen the material achievements of education. He has considered illiteracy as one of the reasons for India's poverty.
Swami ji was unhappy with the education system of that time. He thought that the education of that time does not inculcate any qualities in man. That education is not at all a human-making education. Swami ji has called that education as negative education. Negative education cripples man. It frustrates his originality and does not develop the qualities of humanity in him.
The proposed research problem which is "Study of the impact of emotional intelligence of teachers working in higher secondary schools on their adjustment capacity and occupational stress", has a deep need and importance of research in it. How do teachers working in higher secondary schools adjust themselves using their emotional intelligence and how do they control their emotions in the most difficult situations through their emotional intelligence and find a solution to the problem.

जनसंख्या वृद्वि के साथ शिक्षा में संख्याओं का विस्फोट हुआ है। अब जीवन पर्यन्त शिक्षा की बात की जाती है न की आयु के किसी विशेष काल तक ही योजना सीमित रहती है। अब सार्थकता एवं संन्दर्भ के प्रश्न खड़े किये जाते है। शैक्षिक अवसरों की समानता के अन्तर्गत क्षेत्रीय असंतुलन संास्कृतिक भिन्नता सामाजिक भेदभाव को दूर करने की बात शैक्षिक योजना में प्रमुखता से की जाती है। इस प्रकार हम देख रहे है की शैक्षिक नियोजन का क्षेत्र आजकल बहुत विस्तृत होता जा रहा है।
शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में स्वामी विवेकानंद ने शिक्षा के महत्व को स्वीकार किया है। युरोप के अनेक नगरों का भ्रमण करते हुए उन्हें शिक्षा की भौतिक उपलब्धियां भी दिखाई पड़ी है। भारत की निर्धनता का एक कारण उन्होनें अशिक्षा को माना है।
स्वामी जी तत्कालीन शिक्षा प्रणाली से दुखी थे। उनका विचार था की उस समय की शिक्षा मनुष्य में कोई गुण उत्पन्न नहीं करती । वह मनुष्य बनाने वाली शिक्षा है ही नहीं। उस शिक्षा को स्वामी जी ने निषेधात्मक शिक्षा कहा है। अभावात्मक शिक्षा मनुष्य को पंगु बना देती है। उसकी मोलिकता को कुंठित कर देती है और उसमें मनुध्यत्व के गुणों का विकास नहीं करती।
प्रस्तावित शोध समस्या जो कि ‘‘उच्चतर माध्यमिक विद्यालयों में कार्यरत शिक्षकों की संवेगात्मक बुद्वि का उनके समायोजन क्षमता एवं व्यवसायिक तनाव पर पड़ने वाले प्रभाव का अध्ययन‘‘ इसमें शोध की आवश्यकता एवं महत्व गहन रूप से है। उच्चतर माध्यमिक विद्यालयों में कार्यरत शिक्षक अपनी संवेगात्मक बुद्वि का उपयोग करके किस प्रकार अपने आप को समायोजित करते हैं व अपनी संवेगात्मक बुद्वि के द्वारा कठिन से कठिन परिस्थितियों में अपने संवेग को नियंत्रित करते हैं और समस्या का हल ढूंढ़ लेते हैं।
