This paper analyses the impact of digital transformation on distance education administration, with a focus on the Jaipur Regional Office of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). As the inclusion of digital tools and platforms in the education sector is increasing, it is essential to understand how these technological advancements affect the operational processes, accessibility and effectiveness of distance education programmes. Through a case study methodology, this paper examines the strategies adopted by the Jaipur Regional Office of IGNOU to integrate digital technologies in administrative functions, including student registration, course delivery and support services. The research highlights the challenges faced during the transition as well as the benefits achieved, such as improved efficiency, enhanced student engagement and wider access. Additionally, the study identifies key factors that lead to the successful implementation of digital tools in distance education administration. The paper contributes to the growing knowledge field on digital transformation in higher education, providing insights for other institutions to improve policy and practice.

यह शोध पत्र डिजिटल परिवर्तन के दूरस्थ शिक्षा प्रशासन पर प्रभाव का विश्लेषण करता है, जिसमें इंदिरा गांधी राष्ट्रीय मुक्त विश्वविद्यालय (IGNOU) के जयपुर क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया गया है। जैसे-जैसे शिक्षा क्षेत्र में डिजिटल उपकरणों और प्लेटफार्मों का समावेश बढ़ रहा है, यह समझना आवश्यक है कि ये तकनीकी उन्नतियां दूरस्थ शिक्षा कार्यक्रमों की संचालन प्रक्रियाओं, पहुँच और प्रभावशीलता को कैसे प्रभावित करती हैं। केस अध्ययन पद्धति के माध्यम से, यह पत्र IGNOU के जयपुर क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय द्वारा प्रशासनिक कार्यों में डिजिटल प्रौद्योगिकियों को एकीकृत करने की रणनीतियों की जांच करता है, जिसमें छात्रों का पंजीकरण, पाठ्यक्रम वितरण और समर्थन सेवाएं शामिल हैं। यह शोध संक्रमण के दौरान सामना की गई चुनौतियों के साथ-साथ प्राप्त लाभों को उजागर करता है, जैसे कि बेहतर दक्षता, बढ़ी हुई छात्र सहभागिता और व्यापक पहुँच। इसके अतिरिक्त, यह अध्ययन उन प्रमुख कारकों की पहचान करता है जो दूरस्थ शिक्षा प्रशासन में डिजिटल उपकरणों के सफल कार्यान्वयन में सहायक होते हैं। यह पत्र उच्च शिक्षा में डिजिटल परिवर्तन पर बढ़ते ज्ञान क्षेत्र में योगदान करता है, जो अन्य संस्थानों के लिए नीति और अभ्यास में सुधार हेतु अंतर्दृष्टि प्रदान करता है।
