THE CONCEPT OF CULTURE AND THE REREADING OF HIND SWARAJ

Abstract [English]

The concept of culture is explained through the concept of self. The self divides itself into the duality of subject and subjected. Its being a subject is being conscious, the culmination of which is its existence in the form of truth-consciousness-bliss where the difference of duality vanishes and the subjected or the person-oriented self dissolves and is established in the uni-versal self.

संस्कृति की अवधारणा आत्म की अवधारणा से व्याख्यायित होती है| आत्म अपने को विषय और विषयी के द्वैत में विभक्त करता है| उसका विषयी होना चैतन्य होना है जिसकी पराकाष्ठा उसके सत्-चित-आनंद रूप में अवस्थिति है जहाँ द्वैत का भेद मिटता है और विषयी ग्राहक अथवा व्यक्ति निष्ठ आत्म का विसर्जन करता है और सर्वात्म में प्रतिष्ठित होता है|
