Through this sincere endeavour, an effort has been made to represent in a proper perspective and systematic manner, the perceptions, concepts, and motivation behind the artistic journey of internationally renowned painter of Neo-Tantric art- Sohan Qadri. It also traces the development of Neo-Tantric art movement which started in 1960s, there by explaining the origin and socio-political environment involved in formulation of this genre. Due emphasis has been laid on tracing the journey of Sohan Qadri’s early initiation into Tantra, yoga and meditation under enlightened yogis, Gurus, and Sufis along with his life-long quest to savour the infinite expanse of mystic spiritualism. It also focuses on decoding the essence, symbolism and metaphors used in the creation of his works.
