THEORY OF GARDNER 'ARTISTIC SYMBOL' : AN ANALYTICAL STUDY

This research paper study art as in form of symbols and do analytical study the theory of Harvard Gardner 'artistic symbols' presented in child art and symbols used in different artist's paintings. In modern art there are many theories on art appreciation and Gardner theory of artistic symbol is one of them. Gardner developed his theory on the basis of American philosopher Nelson Goodman's theory of symbols. In 1973-1980 Gardner experiment about the stages of child brain development and study about children's creative expression and used symbols by them. Also study the symbols used by different artists in their paintings.

प्रस्तुत शोध सारांश कला का प्रतीक रूप में अध्ययन करता है तथा हार्वड गार्डनर नामक विद्वान द्वारा प्रस्तुत बालको की कला में प्रयुक्त प्रतीक तथा विभिन्न कलाकारों द्वारा उनकी कलाकृतियो में प्रयुक्त प्रतीको के प्रयोग पर अध्ययन करता है। आधुनिक काल में कला समीक्षा की विभिन्न विचारधाराएँ मिलती है। इसी प्रकार संज्ञानात्मक आधार पर कला समीक्षा की विचारधाराओ में से एक है ‘कला का प्रतीक रूप में अध्ययन’। गार्डनर ने अमेरिकी दार्शनिक नेल्सन गुडमैन की प्रतीको की विचारधारा के आधार पर अपना मत विकसित किया । 1973-1980 तक उन्होने बाल मस्तिष्क के विकास की स्थितियाँ, बच्चो की सृजनात्मक अभिव्यक्ति एंव उनमे प्रयुक्त कला प्रतीको का अध्ययन किया तथा साथ ही विभिन्न कलाकृतियो में निहित कलात्मक प्रतीको का अध्ययन करके अपनी विचारधारा प्रस्तुत की।
